Purple-colored, purple tomatillos are a feast for the eyes and the palate. When fully ripe, they have a pink, sweet taste.
Tomatillo, also called Mexican tomato, belongs to the Physalis family.
The decorative fruits of the purple tomatillo grow and ripen in lanterns with a diameter of 2 - 3 cm.
The purple tomatillo plants reach a height of approx. 1 - 1.20 meters.
