Kiwi berry

Kiwi berries, also called mini kiwis, do not look very similar at first glance to the large hairy kiwi (Actinidia deliciosa) and the slightly less acidic, smooth-skinned Actinidia chinensis with yellow flesh. Most people only know the latter two from the supermarket, as both species only grow in wine-growing regions in Germany with very mild winters. Their fruits are also much smaller in this country and are less sweet than the supermarket kiwis, which mostly come from Italy, southern France, Chile or New Zealand. The mini kiwi (Actinidia arguta) is the little sister of the kiwi and has been very popular with gardeners for several years.
