Like all Solanum aethiopicum, a real mass producer. Each plant is overflowing with fruit. The fruits are slightly indented, about 4 to 6 cm in diameter. The plants can grow up to 120 cm tall.
Ready to eat when the fruits are green - but they can also be eaten later. When ripe, the fruits are orange with green stripes; when fully ripe, the stripes disappear and they glow solid orange. They look very similar to a persimmon.
The flesh is soft and juicy, and there is a gel-like layer around the seeds, similar to tomatoes.
The easiest way to prepare eggplants is to cut them into 1 cm thick slices and fry them in butter.
